Volunteer: Help Our Food Pantry Meet Increased Demand

The Goodman Center’s food pantry is experiencing a rise in demand, and we need your help! We’re looking for new volunteers to join our team so we can continue providing the best possible service to our community. We offer a variety of shifts — some focused on stocking shelves and organizing donations, and others that involve supporting customers while they shop. Please review the available shifts below and respond if there is one that works for you (Volunteers should be available mostly on a weekly basis).  You will be contacted to set up a time for an initial meeting. If you end up being on the waitlist, we will keep you in mind for the future.

Tuesdays | 10:30 a.m.–1:00 p.m.- Support customers during pantry shopping and assist with cleanup. As more families visit our pantry, we need friendly volunteers to help customers shop and enforce pantry policies. You’ll also restock shelves and help clean up after shopping hours — including sweeping, wiping down surfaces, washing bins, and bringing grocery carts inside.

Wednesdays| 12:45 p.m.–3 p.m.- Support customers during pantry shopping and assist with cleanup.  Similar to the Tuesday shift, volunteers will help customers during shopping hours, enforce policies, restock shelves, and assist with cleanup afterward.

Thursdays | 1:30 p.m.–4:00 p.m.- Support customers during pantry shopping and assist with cleanup.  Similar to the Tuesday shift, volunteers will help customers during shopping hours, enforce policies, restock shelves, and assist with cleanup afterward.

Thank you for helping the Goodman Center continue to serve our community with care and compassion!
