Help register people to get a Thanksgiving basket. Our goal is to sign up at least 4000 households in 2024! We have set up a special Thanksgiving basket phone line - come help us answer people's calls. We'll be encouraging non-English speaking participants to call in during these shift times, so volunteers should be bilingual in Spanish and English.
How it works:
- Answer our registration line and assist people in signing up for Thanksgiving baskets.
- During the call enter registration information into our online form.
- Return calls to Spanish speaking people who called during other hours.
What you bring:
- Computer knowledge and data entry skills
- Good phone and customer service skills
- You're bilingual in Spanish and English
Sign up Details:
- Please ensure you are available for the entire shift. Shifts can’t be split or shortened.
- Volunteers must be 18 or over.
- Be sure to read and authorize volunteer waiver.
Parking/Biking:
- On-street parking is available around the center. No space will be available in the Goodman lot due to other programming including Thanksgiving basket prep and pick up.
