Support Goodman's youngest participants (3-5 years) in their preschool and 4K classrooms!
Volunteers help with lunch time and support through naps. You'll be assigned to a classroom or two and engage with the kids during our family style meal and then help transition into naps. This might include rubbing struggling sleepers backs or sitting with someone who can't sleep.
Previous work with young children is a plus, as is a love for adventure and encouraging little minds!
Goodman classrooms are based in the importance of social-emotional learning, with lots of play-based learning activities throughout the day. All volunteers participate in orientation before their first shift.
Summer camp runs:
June 24 - August 21; 8:00 am - 5:30 pm
This position is from 12:00 - 2:30 pm and you can pick the day or days that work for you, Monday - Friday.
We understand that it’s the summer for our volunteers, too—but we ask that volunteers are available once/week for the majority of the 9-week summer session.
