Help us reach all the folks who signed up to pick up a Thanksgiving basket. With upwards of 4,000 registrants we know that friendly reminders can increase our pick up rates and ensure food gets into homes before Thanksgiving. We'll have phones and computers available to send texts and call registrants. Volunteers will also help with logging hours for our seven day volunteer event.
How it works:
- Compare returned reminder postcards with our roster to find registrants who haven't picked up yet
- Make reminder calls or send computer texts - we'll be sure to teach anyone how to make the calls/texts
- If time allows log hours in our volunteer data base for new volunteers
What you bring:
- Computer knowledge and data entry skills
- Good phone skills and customer services
- Volunteers who are bilingual in Spanish and English are especially encouraged to join us
Sign up Details:
- Please ensure you are available for the entire shift. Shifts can’t be split or shortened.
- Volunteers must be 16 or over.
- Be sure to read and authorize volunteer waiver.
Parking/Biking:
- On-street parking is available around the center. No space will be available in the Goodman lot due to other programming including Thanksgiving Basket prep and pick up.
